Vermont children’s photographer | Week 3 | 52 Weeks

The kids started swimming lessons this morning at a beautiful Inn and Spa about 2 minutes from our house. Delaney was swimming and when I looked up, she was in this beautiful pocket of light. Doesn’t it look like the setting sun on a lake? Used my 5DII and 70-200 for this shot.

Vermont children’s photographer | Week 2 | 52 Weeks

Yee Haw! You can’t really tell but he just came off a jump here. We had such a great time sledding today. When did my children turn into such daredevils? They just wanted to go faster, higher and longer. Crazy. I remember the days when they wouldn’t go down unless they were in a sled w/ us.

I broke my first rule of my 52 weeks today. I was trying to use the 5DII and either my fisheye or my macro but I used my 7D and  my 70–200!  New rules…….I will alternate weekly (or try to) between the 5DII and the 7D but use whichever lens I feel like that using. Haha. That makes it easier.

Vermont children’s photographer | Week 1 | 52 Weeks

Call me crazy but I’m giving it a go.  All I have to do is pick up my camera once a week and take a picture. I have decided to use my 100mm macro and my fisheye lens. My goal—to pick up my camera more often when I’m not in the studio. To have some fun and be creative. To use a lens other than my 85 1.2, which I love and cherish and hardly ever take off my camera.

After almost 3 feet of snow, what better way to start the project than with a macro of a snowflake. Photographing these little buggers is not as easy as you’d think. These snowflakes were the size of tiny ants. The snow was up to my knees. It was 13 degrees out and I was shivering.
