Fall In Vermont | Lisa Harrison Photography

I took a ride out to Smugglers Notch with my mom today. It’s past peak foliage but we still found some color—and I love the contrast of the snow against all that color too.

Stowe, Vermont

I am so behind on blogging but I wanted to put up a shot  from a waterfall I visited on Monday.  A friend (and fellow photographer) knew of this beautiful spot so we hiked to it. I left my tripod at home so he brought an extra one.  He decided to let me use the newer one since I was using a heavier lens. Just as we were wrapping things up I heard a crash and turned around to see him go thigh deep in the 32 degree water to fish out his VERY new D700 :(   The quick release on the older Manfrotto released. He was able to retrieve it. We dropped it off at the shop and they are sending it to Nikon. We aren’t sure of it’s fate.  He took it very well. I would have been crying if that were my gear.
