Lisa Harrison Photography bio picture
  • Welcome!

Hi. I'm Lisa. Lover of diet coke, photography and the computer, not necessarily in that order. A mom to two and wife to one. I'm a Vermont based photographer, specializing in lifestyle portraiture in the greater Chittenden County. My style is simple and laid back. I work on location and in the studio. I love natural light and black and white photography. I feel so blessed to do what I do--- creating memories for people, a smile, a connection, a moment (that might otherwise be forgotten) frozen in time and memories for generations to come.

This blog will follow my personal and professional life. I'll share images from my sessions, my family and the places we go. I encourage you to visit my website and contact me for more information via the links above.

52 Weeks | Week 5 | Lisa Harrison Photography

Pictures of Carter all look the same to me! He is a vampire and squints whenever he gets near the light without his sunglasses. Here he is with a new haircut. I brought him to a new salon (the one I go to) so it’s a different cut for him. I have (secretly) been calling it the “dumb and dumber” haircut. It makes me giggle uncontrollably when I say it. See for yourself– click HERE! The good news is he’s still super handsome and the bangs will grow back.  I love this guy so much. Seriously, I thank God everyday for Carter. He makes me laugh and he ALWAYS has my back.

ckmetrophotos - i laughed when i clicked on the link LOL !!! – he is sooo growing Lisa !! – still a handsome young man. makes you so thankful for family when you can smile at these small moments that is for sure.

Leslie Morgan - He is such a handsome young boy!!! Love this shot. Love his eyes!! <3

gina - cute!

Sarah Phillips - He’s so cute. He reminds me a lot of Sam (especially with the new haircut.) Sam has a crazy cowlick and I’m not sure that it’s possible for him to have anything but the dumb and dumber cut. :)

Kathryn Clark - Love that smile!

Marisa - I love everything about this one. The boy is so handsome <3 and his bangs will look so much better in one week (the same thing happens when A gets his hair cut). LOL
Great blue chair, btw. :-)

Denean - awwww, he’s so cute!!

Amy - HE is a very cute I mean handsome young man. His skin is so pretty and his eyes are beautiful. Great shot.

Laura - Yes he is such a handsome boy! I love that sparkle in his eyes. His grin makes me grin. And you calling the hair cut “dumb and dumber” made me giggle!

Lisa Manchester - Such a handsome young man, Lisa!

52 Weeks | Week 4 | Lisa Harrison Photography

Better late than never, right? I just love her smile here. So genuine and I don’t usually get that from her when I am behind my camera. See that bottom tooth camera left? It’s been hanging for months. I wish it would fall out.

52 Weeks | Week 3 | Lisa Harrison Photography

The kids started swimming lessons this morning at a beautiful Inn and Spa about 2 minutes from our house. Delaney was swimming and when I looked up, she was in this beautiful pocket of light. Doesn’t it look like the setting sun on a lake? Used my 5DII and 70-200 for this shot.

52 Weeks | Week 2 | Lisa Harrison Photography

Yee Haw! You can’t really tell but he just came off a jump here. We had such a great time sledding today. When did my children turn into such daredevils? They just wanted to go faster, higher and longer. Crazy. I remember the days when they wouldn’t go down unless they were in a sled w/ us.

I broke my first rule of my 52 weeks today. I was trying to use the 5DII and either my fisheye or my macro but I used my 7D and  my 70–200!  New rules…….I will alternate weekly (or try to) between the 5DII and the 7D but use whichever lens I feel like that using. Haha. That makes it easier.
